Entrepreneurship Education:Know About Business (KAB)

 

 


 

  KAB is an ILO entrepreneurship training module and methodology for secondary school students. KAB in China targets at university students and aims to help them build up correct understanding about entrepreneurship and grasp basic knowledge and practical skills for business start-ups in a participatory and interactive learning process.


  Up to now, Chinese KAB Facilitator's Handbook and Learner's Workbook have been compiled and produced, Chinese Facilitators have been trained. KAB is in pilot operation in 6 universities, including Tsinghua University, China Youth University for Political Sciences, etc. KAB curriculum consists of 8 modules including What is enterprise, Why entrepreneurship, who are entrepreneurs, How do I become an entrepreneur, how do I find a good business idea, How do I organize an enterprise, How do I operate an enterprise, How to write an business plan. KAB is listed as a public selective course and requires 36 to 54 class hours. By choosing this course, students will gain 2 credits. Up to now, 620 students have chosen this course.
