In a beautifully green ocean-like forest, merry songs were like waves dancing and swinging. A group of happy birds were living in the forest. They flew with songs and dances, and work merrily together. Amongst the trees, below the flowers, they lived friendly and comfortably. Rings of laughter spread like ripples across the entire sea of trees. A flocky lazy worm opened his eyes in the darkness of a hole, and started to look for something greedily, which broke the peace and harmony of the forest. In disguise of a pretty insect, the worm found Happy Bird, a formerly very bright birdie. Happy Bird often dreamed of a colorful life, and was coddled by her granny. Because of her laziness, Happy Bird became a victim of the worm's temptation. Gradually, Happy Bird became selfish and greedy. She was spoiled and mischievous, a trouble-maker in the forest. When golden fall came, all the birds worked hard while Happy Bird only thought of having fun. As all the pals were building nests, she always put back the work to next day. Then, cold winter came, and Happy Bird nearly died from the chilliness. Her friends saved her in time and she realized the importance of labor and friendship. At last, she came back to the big family of the forest after her triumph over the lazy worm. From then on, peace and happiness returned to the green world.
