A unique pair of twin girls were born to a family in Shenyang in northeastern China's Liaoning province. One has a fair complexion, while the other looks tan, Modern Express reported.

The twins, now almost 10 months old, attract much attention with their similar features and different skin tones. Their father named them "Mei Lun" and "Mei Huan." The phrase "mei lun mei huan" in Chinese means "magnificent."

The reason for the different skin tones of the twins remains unknown. The parents of the twins are both 100% Chinese and no ancestors in their family have foreign pedigree.
