Taiwan pop king Jay Chou will soon start shooting his directorial debut, a film exploring his love affairs during high school.

With a working name of "Bu Neng Shuo de Mimi", or literally "Secrets That Can't Be Spoken", the movie is set to cost around 10 million yuan, or about 1.25 Million US dollars.

Jay Chou will play the main role of the story, which he wrote about his love affairs during high school. Taiwan actress Guey Lun Mei and an unknown new actress will play the heroines. Hong Kong veteran actor Anthony Wong will again play Jay's father after their successful collaboration in the move "Initial D".

Many of Jay's friends, like Nan Quan Mama and Will Liu, will also star in the movie.

The singer-turned-actor has already scored a number of hits in the cinema world, including Zhang Yimou's blockbuster "Curse of the Golden Flower". He also showed his talent by directing the music video for the movie's theme song.

The new movie will be shot by the end of this month to make sure Jay will be able to travel to Shanghai in March to star in another movie called "Slam Duck".
