Veteran Chinese director Feng Xiaogang received an Outstanding Director award at the 2006 CineAsia film awards Thurday evening.

The three-day event was once again held in Beijing after its huge success last year. It is the biggest event for motion picture and theater industry professionals in Asia.

Feng attended the ceremony at the China World Hotel, where he was honored for his contribution to Chinese cinema.

The award shows more and more people in the Asia-Pacific region appreciate Feng's work.
