Wang Zhongyuan, born in 1913, a National-level Fine Crafts Master, was apprenticed to Mr.Zhang Lanting, a renown painter, traditional Chinese realistic painting of flowers and birds and got valuable directions from Li Hanchen, his senior, a well-known painter. All these have laid a solid ground for his later career in art creation. In 1983, his design, "lovely Mien of Country Side", jade work with unique style, won the Treasure Works Cup of The China Arts & Crafts Bai Hua Award. With his works the "Prawn Plate" was collected by China Arts & Crafts Gallery.
